you know you're a mom when...

you know you're a mom when...

workout clothes are way fashionable.

no matter how hard you try, toys will never fully be picked up and your house may always be dirty.

you get just as excited for chicken nuggets as the little nuggets do.

coffee is your best friend. in fact, i think i'm going to go brew a cup right now. be right back!

.......................

okay, i'm back.

you sit and wonder how you got such precious, perfect, adorable babies. all. the. time.

pancakes are okay for breakfast. every day.

you can't get enough of those cheeks!

dirt under the fingernails is a good thing! (something i'm learning to deal with)

sure okay, i'll pick my boogers with you. just don't eat them!

you answer questions. A LOT of questions. like, "mom why is gorgeous (jesus) up in the sky? and why doesn't he ever come down?"

it doesn't matter how many times you ask to use your "inside voices." kids are always going to speak loud, and that's A-OKAY!

you find yourself eating a lot, because snacks are constant. at least in my house!

you find yourself wondering just as much as they do. like, what is REALLY going on in that little head of yours?

dinner time all of the sudden is no fun, and vegetables are the most disgusting thing on the planet. but really... all of the sudden. yesterday carrots were awesome.

you are always arguing about who is really tired. i know i am.

your hair, and the kids' hair is always a mess. yup, those cute little head bands only stay on ava for about five seconds.

$30 onesies? not gonna happen.

rolling around on the ground and pretending to be a puppy can be a four year olds highlight of her day, and hearing, "mommy you're so funny!" is the best thing ever.

baby coo's and ahh's really melt your heart.

watching your kids interact with their dad, your husband, the man you love hits you with so much love you can't even explain.

finding time to finish a new book is almost impossible. as soon as the kids are asleep and you lay down to start reading, you can't even get through the first page.

discipline is hard, because you hate to see your kids sad.

you sometimes worry you aren't doing it right, but as long as you know you're doing your best that's all that matters.

peanut butter and jelly sandwiches is something you can't go without.

mommy and daughter mani and pedi dates are theeee best.

you know every word to specific movies, because they pick the same ones every time.

morning snuggles are what you go to bed looking forward to, even if you are hoping for one more hour of sleep.

little baby feet are the cutest things ever. squishy little sausage toes!

you catch yourself mothering your husband, because you mother all day long! sorry babe, i'll work on that.

you sit back, when it's quiet.... and enjoy it. all the while thinking, "wow. how blessed am i? my life, my family, my kids, my hubby... they're all so amazing. thank you jesus! now, do i take a nap, or clean my house?"

nap it is!
